I take it you're not a romantic? It's not so much that they're "good" because they're not. It's stated several times throughout the series that they are inherently evil. They've killed before and they admit it. But it's the fact that they TRY to be "good" that redeems them. It's the fact that Edward - who has tasted human blood before, and who craves Bella's blood more than anyone elses - TRIES to fight what he really is, because his love for Bella is more important to him than the desire for her blood - not that it's greater. The bloodlust will always come first.

I agree that calling themselves "vegetarians" isn't exactly true, but given what they are, it's the closest they'll get to being real "vegetarians." Besides, it was meant to be a joke.

I don't want you to feel that I'm badgering you for putting your opinion up, because I'm not. I just wanted to state my own opinion on the matter.
